Canon 50mm f1.2L Reviews Fujifilm Fujinon XF56mm f/1.2 R APD review With its apodization filter, the Fujinon XF56mm f/1.2 R APD’s key attraction is beautiful bokeh By Matthew Richards published 4 April 2022 (Image: © Fujifilm) Digital Camera World Verdict For low light and classic portraiture, the Fuji 56mm f/1.2 is king. There are several reasons why I would choose this lens over the 50-140mm f/2.8 zoom. The obvious reason is the aperture, at f/1.2, it's two and a half stops faster than f/2.8, meaning it gathers far more than four times the amount of light. Sharpness at 56mm. For these sharpness tests the Fujifilm 56mm lens was attached to a Fujifilm X-T1 body, which in turn was mounted on a sturdy tripod. Slight tonal changes are due to slight changes in natural light during the session. The centre is remarkably sharp wide-open at f/1.2, with peak performance achieved in the f/2.8-8 range. The 50mm f1.0 and 56mm f1.2 are razor sharp at this point, but the Viltrox is the real surprise as it reaches the same level as the two more expensive Fuji lenses. The 50mm f2 is less crisp although the difference is not huge. Vay Nhanh Fast Money.
